San Diego, February 13, 2013:  Underground Elephant, a San Diego technology based performance marketing company, is thrilled to announce their donation of $25,000 to the San Diego Humane Society. As a young, vibrant company, Underground Elephant believes in supporting charitable organizations within the San Diego community.

Their generous donation will help fund the creation of new homes for the more than 7,500 stray and surrendered animals the Human Society cares for each year. A portion of their donation will be also be used to provide medical care for the animals. Over the past few years UE has partnered with the Humane Society and SPCA on various events from the Telethon to the Walk for Animals.

Underground Elephant is going to the dogs (…and cats). Underground Elephant would like to thank the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA for giving employees an opportunity to volunteer and interact with the animals. Employees were provided a behind the scenes tour of the facility including visits to the cat apartments and doggie dorm rooms, as well as meet several of San Diego’s top Veterinarians.

On any given day, the San Diego Humane Society is home to approximately 1,000 animals, including war rescue dogs and victims of animal cruelty/neglect; it is always in need of supplies. During the visit, Underground Elephant created more than 50 toys for the shelter and spent time socializing with the animals. Over the past years, Underground Elephant has become a continuous donor; contributing more than $5k, along with volunteering for the annual Humane Society Walk and Telethon.

Underground Elephant donates over 100 computers and accessories to a local non-profit homeless shelter.
